| BLOCKER, EDITH SMITH, 92, of Dade City, died Monday (Jan. 12, 2004) at
the Tandem Health Care Center in Brandon. Born in Mendes, Ga., she came
to Dade City in 1921. She was a teacher for 35 years in Pasco County,
spending most of her time at the Dade City Grammar School. She was a
longtime member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a member
of the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority at Florida State University. Survivors
include a son, Wayne, Brandon; a sister, Ruth Eldridge, Stuart; two
nieces and two nephews; and two grandchildren. Coleman & Ferguson
